The Westin Seattle is a top of the line polished place of lodging with a location that can’t be beat. Seattle is a tourist’s dream destination featuring world famous landmarks like the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, and the Cinerama theater all beckon those who reside near and far.
The Westin Seattle sits in Westlake in the heart of downtown, and is a Seattle skyline staple, with the twin circular towers dominating the nearby landscape. But aside from the picturesque exterior, it provides a spectacular view of the city from itself!
Better yet, the central location gives any visitor easy access for all the nearby landmarks, and the lesser known places accessibility, such as the historic Paramount Theater, the Westlake Mall, and the Seattle Center. Even the light rail is just a few minutes’ walk away.
Parking isn’t a worry, a special relief given the spot starved downtown area. Valet attendants can take your vehicle with care and get it ready for your departures at a few minutes notice.
The rooms are large, and instantly gives you the impression of comfort and stability. Everything is kept at a high level of cleanliness, and you’ll wish you had a home that looked like this! The property comes with a historic prestige and high reputation online, and believe us when we say the hype is real.
The staff were good enough to give us the extraordinary upgrade of staying in the Presidential Suite, a multiroom lodging that tops the taller north tower of the complex. Needless to say, the views were outstanding, but just as impressive were the amenities available. A bar for serving drinks, three televisions, several couches, and floor to ceiling windows displaying the beautiful skyline and Elliott Bay below us.
Fast and secure wifi ensures you are never disconnected from the online world, and can use the internet for both casual and business purpose. The air conditioning comes in every room, and is a must on the unstereotypical hot days Seattle is prone to get in the summer.
To all guests, a 24 hour fitness center allows you to keep fit any time of day. Adjacent is a large pool with an attached outdoor patio, open from 5 am to 11 pm. On the ground floor, there is a gift shop ensures you’ll have something to wear if the going gets unexpectedly cold, or just need a souvenir for someone back home. Conveniently there is a FedEx just next door to the gift shop for any shipping or printing needs.
Dining options
Room service is available when you get hungry, but if you can, make sure to venture down to the attached restaurant, Relish Burger Bistro. As the name implies, burgers are their specialty, but plenty of other delicious entrees are at the ready, The half chicken and trout were both very appealing, but we’re always fans of mac n cheese. If you can keep some dessert room, absolutely don’t miss out on the skillet chocolate chip cookie. For breakfast, there is a buffet offered to guests that includes fresh juice, fruits, baked goods, eggs, and a variety of meats.
The new 1900 Fifth is casually set across from the lobby and has some delicious cocktails and bar bites. They have a full bar and extensive wine menu that you can either get by the glass or by the bottle and enjoy it in the comfort of your room.
Whether you’re in town for a business trip, preparing to board a cruise, or just coming for a stay in the Emerald City, luxury knows no bounds at the Westin Seattle.
