Birthday Extravaganza at Enchant Christmas Seattle

This weekend — on my birthday to be exact — I am excited to finally sink my feet into the magic of Enchant Christmas! Two years ago, my grandmother and I enjoyed the exhibit in Vancouver, Canada. Thankfully, this year Seattleites get to take in the Christmas magic that this event brings to kids both young and old.

The Seattle event kicked off at Safeco Field on November 23 and runs through December 30. It features an immersive holiday light display with Christmas trees up to 80-feet tall, Santa himself, food and drinks, ice-skating and even a Christmas market.

Compared to the Vancouver event, which was held in a parking lot in downtown Vancouver, the event at Safeco allows attendees a fun-filled and dry arena packed with Christmas magic from head-to-toe. Since Safeco has a closed roof it’s the perfect spot to keep the guests dry, yet enough space to hold a large crowd and an 80-feet display!

The outfield is transformed into a twinkling maze where you can search for Santa’s reindeer, the infield is home to the lovely ice-skating trail, and the Pen is a lively music lounge, the perfect spot to enjoy Christmas tunes and unwind.

My little sister, 12 years old, and mother are flying in from Hawaii and will be joining us at this event. It will be a birthday to remember and they are all super excited! Since there will be 4 of us, we opted in for the VIP treatment to make things a little more exciting and add some peace of mind.

The VIP treatment includes a special entrance to the park, and the events, including skipping the line for pictures with Santa! Not to mention the complimentary all-you-can-eat gourmet dinner and dessert bar in the private Diamond Club area. VIP tickets are limited per days and are selling out fast!

Since I grew up on Hawaii I’ve never ice skated.. I am super excited to grab some skates and give it a whirl! I am prepared to fall on my behind, but hey, it’s the leap of faith that makes life worth wild. Thank goodness for people like myself, Enchant Christmas has skate rentals available for $10 for those that don’t have shoes. Ice-skating is free and included in the price of admission, but shoe rentals are an additional.

In addition to the ice skating, maze, light display, market, photos and food, there will be nightly live music entertainment from a variety of local talent. I’m really looking forward to lounging, checking out the view and listening to some Christmas tunes.

Last but not least, the Paws & Claus event is Dec 27, which allows guests to bring their pooch for a special evening to meet Santa! There will be water bowls, comfort stations, and treats for the dogs.

It is highly recommended to purchase your tickets in advance! Parking is available at the Safeco lot and can be purchased online too. Purchasing ahead of time will save you money and secure you a spot for your date.
