We all know how draining a long trip can be, and it can be even harder when it’s a long flight. When it’s over, you just want to flop into bed, but SeaTac airport might be an hour drive or even longer away back home. That’s where DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton at Southcenter has you covered.
Accessible by airport shuttle within 15 minutes, DoubleTree is both a convenient stop for local airport travelers and visitors. If you’re headed to the airport, parking in the hotel’s lot is complimentary, as is the shuttle taking you there.
The hotel is designed around a gargantuan open air lobby, with rooms on all floors opening into an open hall, everybody can look at the impressive indoor view. The ground floor is built around the restaurant and bar. Any patron can enjoy a meal or drink in an atrium style setting, and the ambiance is both relaxing and inviting.

Any meal is available to order from the restaurant area. NW Landing takes the bulk of the room, with menus for all three meals, and dessert. Breakfast yields our favorite, waffles and eggs, but also has more specialty items like parfaits, and eggs benedict drizzled with a custom made sauce.
Perfectly reflecting the pacific northwest style of cuisine, seafood fills most of the lunch and dinner menu, and you can’t beat a good salmon, but if steak is more up your alley, the New York strip loin is unequaled. Make room for dessert too! We always like a good creme brule, and the menu does have it. However, the red velvet cake is sweet enough to properly polish off any meal.
The Atrium bar is open from 2-11pm, allowing you to enjoy a drink for most of the day in the environment of an open air atrium and plenty of TV’s to watch.
Get up to your room and you’ll immediately feel welcome. The layout of the rooms and hallways reflects that of an apartment complex. Our room contained an entry room that resembled a living room in a typical home. A couch, easy chair, desk, dinner table and even a microwave sit in it, and make it appealing to hang out in.
The rooms at DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton at Southcenter are all Suite-like which includes a living area, oversized bathroom and a separate bedroom, which offers a wondrous home-away-from-home vibe. Blackout curtains close the large windows entirely, which is a must when you need a sleep in after a long flight.
Outside the rooms, there’s plenty to do. USA Today and the Wall Street Journal are available every day in the front lobby, WiFi is complimentary for all residents, meeting rooms with over 12,000 square feet of space, and a fitness center with a full size pool, and hot tub.
The hotel is situated in the center of Southcenter Mall, the largest in the state of Washington. Not only a superb place to shop, it’s also the home to an expansive food court and an AMC theater.
Conveniently situated a short distance from the mall, airport, and numerous consumer spots, DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton at Southcenter is a perfect hotel for a visitor seeking a high class experience or a traveler needing a place of comfort before and after flying.
