I am very excited to announce that the 2020 TCM Classic Film Festival is set to kick off with a 35th anniversary screening of the seminal science fiction film “Back to the Future.”

Last year, we attended the TCM Classic Film Festival with their 2019 theme ‘Love at the Movies’. As you may remember, they celebrated their 10th annual opening night with a screening of “When Harry Met Sally,” a classic romance starring beloved Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan.

On April 16, 2020, stars Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson, along with co-writer and co-producer Bob Gale are set to be in attendance for this special screening, which happens to be the world premiere of a new 4k remaster of the film.

Like virtually everyone else of my generation, I saw Back to the Future when it was released in 1985 and within an instant, the story, the characters, the music, and the car, of course, became critical touchstones in my personal cinematic universe,” said Ben Mankiewicz, host of the TCM Classic Film Festival.

The 2020 TCM Classic Film Festival runs from April 16-19 and will have screenings throughout the Hollywood area and will center around the theme “Grand Illusions: Fantastic Worlds on Film.”

Over four packed days and nights, attendees of the Festival will be treated to an extensive lineup of great movies, appearances by legendary stars and filmmakers, fascinating presentations and panel discussions, special events and more.
