Thanks to Disney we had the honor of seeing a sneak peak of A Wrinkle in Time, on the gigantic IMAX screen! This movie is full of hope and will leave you looking at life a little differently.

A Wrinkle in Time in theaters tomorrow, March 9

Meg (Storm Reid) is a loner who is bullied by other girls, as a result of her scientist father (Chris Pine) disappearing. Her little brother Charles Wallace (Deric McCabe) finds him, and in unsusual circumstances, invites fellow classmate Calvin (Levi Miller) to see his new friends. Thanks to three magical beings (Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, and Oprah) they travel the universe to find their father and bring him home.

A Wrinkle in Time is different, and prides itself in standing out from the crowd. I haven’t seen a children’s film so inventive and imaginative in a while. When you take a journey through the universe in a Disney movie, it’s something special.

The film delivers on adventure, fantasy, and comedy, with plenty of great pieces of casting. Mindy Kaling, Michael Pena, Zack Galifinakis, Reese Witherspoon, and an ethereal Oprah, almost all of whom are clad in otherworldly outfits, accurately transport the viewer to the fantasy environments the kids journey to. Joining them are fabulous performances from the children, Storm Reid, Deric McCabe, and Levi Miller.

The children hold the film together, with an especially entertaining McCabe as the young Charles Wallace. Charles acts as a brilliant inquisitive kid with a desire to see the universe. His performance really showcases his talent when the kids face adversity and Charles Wallace becomes possessed with evil energy. His evil personality is hilariously entertaining.

It’s a movie full of wonder and imagination, with especially great performances. Also a giant Oprah! If you can’t get into the adventure you may feel bored, but if you let it, the movie will bring out the child inside you and warm your heart with the ultimate message to not give in to darkness.
