Ever wanted a place to stay in the heart of Seattle’s world famous Pike Place Market? Well the appropriately named Inn at the Market is the premier place to lodge if you want a place to stay where all the famous haunts of Seattle are within arms reach!
Rolling our car up to the entrance of the Inn, it was immediately apparent that the location couldn’t be better. On a hill overlooking Elliot Bay, with ferries frequently crossing the water and the Olympic Mountains in the distance, this extraordinarily scenic spot couldn’t be better. The rooms on the west side have superb ocean views, but there are additional rooms on the north end that provide a partial ocean view as well.
The property is squeezed into the hustling bustling block next to the market and several shops, but inside you’d never think of wanting more space. The lobby and the rooms themselves are quite spacious, with furniture and decor pleasing to the eye yet not overdone.
The beds are enormous, with impeccably soft pillows perfect for nighttime rest. The bathroom provides a blowdryer, just what the ladies need to get their hair in shape for the day. A large flat screen tv with at least a hundred channels is also there at your convenience.
Complimentary newspapers sit in the hallways, and the elevator is the quickest we’ve ever encountered. It’s been specifically programmed to always have at least one of the two cars waiting in the lobby with the doors open, so we never had to wait to take the elevator back to our 8th floor room (a real treat after a long day of walking!).
An additional comfort was the Starbucks coffee machine in the lobby, so you could grab yourself a cup anytime of day, and especially convenient when you’re on the go.
The friendly staff are available for all your needs. The our greatest relief, they were able to valet park our vehicle, a must for anybody staying downtown. Retrieval takes some time, but you won’t need a car very often staying there. Within walking distance is not just the market, but dozens of shops, food stops, music venues, movie theaters, and malls.
At the end of the day you don’t need to feel you’re on the outside looking in on the action around you. The Rooftop Deck provides a lookout for guests, in case you need a private place to enjoy the natural beauty of the bay. But any moment you get hungry, there are three restaurants within the hotel’s fancy courtyard to service your needs, running the gamut from French cuisine, to Japanese, to local seafood. They even offer room service for their offerings!
The recent renovation revitalized the hotel as well, and coupled with their numerous visitor package deals, Inn at the Market stops at nothing to get you a luxury stay in the Emerald City with the best views and the best service.
