Did you know the 2018 Mazda CX-5 won #1 for best SUV in 3 different categories? In addition, they won the best compact SUV for its money. Well, if you ask me, I say I want one.
After driving around the new Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring, I had an inside scoop of why it’s got such fame.
The 2018 Mazda CX-5 boasts a large 5-passenger seating capacity with lots of storage space, while driving like a compact car. It simply makes it fun to drive without feeling bulky.
It also is equipped with tons of the most up-to-date safety features such as back-up camera, side-impact door beams, tire pressure monitoring system, traction control, rain sensing windshield wipers and even lane departure warnings and lane-keep assist. It has a 4-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower at 6,000 rpm, so you have a nice amount of power without overdoing it.
However, safety isn’t everything in our book, we want safety but we also want style. The CX-5 has large 7” full-color touch screen displays that include bluetooth, and the updated Mazda Connect that includes SiriusXM, Pandora, SMS text message and more! Plus, the Bose speakers on this car rocks – giving nice even sound throughout the whole vehicle.
My favorite thing of all must be the design. The dash it designed almost flawlessly with all the controls you could need easy accessible at your fingertips. Mazda does an outstanding job making the dash design very clean and simple. The grand touring model has beautiful tan leather heated seats throughout the vehicle, even your backseat passengers can take advantage of the heat!
After having this vehicle for a week, I understand perfectly why it’s voted the best compact SUV of 2018. I never been in or drove a Mazda before, so this was exciting for me to see the design and features. They even have some gorgeous color options for this year model! Some of my favorites is the red crystal metallic and the deep crystal blue mica.
Mazda has a very unique way designing their vehicles and does an outstanding job going above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy with the end results.
